Woohoo!

Havent been checking here often cause kinda busy settling down in Canada. Been to NY over the past couple of weeks but sadly didnt have a real chance to check out the gaming scene due to time constraints =(

Glad you guys started the Name Game for interested people to submit names =)
My contributions are all over the posts in this forum! It'll be cool if one of them makes it to the next set though =)
Really hyped about the Japanese Yakuza making a debut too, and after watching ff7:advent children, kinda inspired to think of names for the japanese too....

Cheerios and I gotta mention this, but I like what I see!

Yeah, will be in Canada till the semester is over, which will be till about late December before moving to Japan for a quick stop-over. Currently in UWO in London, Toronto and its kinda back-dated in gaming =(
There's no InQuest gamer magazine, only its sister, Wizards, and the only CCG i saw at the newstand was Yu-Gi-Oh! No offense to Canada or Yu-Gi-Oh, but that kinda sucks =(

Great concept for the name game =) Hoping to see/hear more about the winners and their concepts! Schoolwork here kinda dready more me cause I kinda over-loaded as an exchange student, which pretty much sums up what I do all the time....though you could include a gangster with some sporty traits (maybe a ex-Hockey guy, someone looking like Jason??!! or a ex-American footballer that was banned from the game due to something he did)...seems hockey is the craze around here and the atmosphere's usually in the stadium!

Kinda just keep following the website so would like to see the results and the names thought up soon =)

In UWO for an exchange stint for my biological sciences course, kinda supposed to be a researcher once I finish =0 but oh well, will take a step at a time I guess...

Might be heading to Detroit this coming weekend cause its a long weekend due to thanksgiving, and hopefully get a chance to pick up my monthly dose of Inquest as well!

Well, good luck to the development of the game =)

Here's some stuff i thought up of recently,
Cinam, Fiend which does a bonus damage/ability to female characters, belonging to Psycho's gang (would be nice to see him all decked out in leather with a 'pinhead' type of fetish)
Eon the Archangel, an ex-ACU whose family was caught in a shoot-out between ACU and the CON, resulting in tradegy, so now she wanders in Psycho's gang, and does bonus damage at a cost of defense to both the cops and the gangs!
Gorefest, ACU; someone who even Justice feels does things to the extreme, but still uses him cause he always gets the job done...always..
ability is to perhaps send a character to lock-down when he is sent himself during a gunfight
Husk, assasin, able to attack any character on the field specifically and when she KO/lockdown the character, she gains his/her ability until activated again...
thats all i guess

Cheerios

P.S: will try to look out for it in Detroit if I see a gaming shop and mebbe get a starter and a couple of boosters to have a feel =)

Back from Detroit =0
Unfortunately, much of the downtown is under heavy renovations so nothing much to see or do except the 3 main casinos and the General Motor building full of awesome cars...the weather there was super chilly as well =( and there were totally no shops selling CCGs in the downtown region we walked (saw Borders, but no luck inside).

Anyhow, thought up of more Asian names for Triad:
Jade Dragon (though you already have a dragon)
Blood Tiger
Crimson Rose
Scarlett Phoneix

Other interesting stuff names were

The Unknown Hood
The Drifter (T. Reckoning)
Silent Reaper
The Curse (belonging to the LRE, when he is in a gunfight, all attacking figures get bonus to damage while a reduction in defense; blood and death seems to follow the Curse wherever he goes, seems people die more often wherever he appears)

Other concepts I thought would be having a USU officer spy that allows players to look into opponents hand, or play with their hand exposed at a penalty to the player

Equipment wise i thought of a one-time use search warrant that allows player to look thru' an opponent's hand when used and choose and discard a single card (Yeah! I used to love discard decks in Magic!!), a pepper spray gun that causes opponents figure to be unable to act for an additional turn or something, and maybe tear gas grenades. Explosives would be hard to design i guess, but its just a thought =)

Thats about it i guess =)

Heh, haven't been posting stuff but just had an idea for an assasin

The Nameless (the pain. the suffering. the terror. what do you fear?)

Allows you to send any opponent's character to lock-down provided you sacrifice one of your own character. Targeted opponent's character must be the same level as the one you sacrifice.

Halloween is coming, haven't celebrated it before back home so kinda curious about it, but Happy Halloween to everyone =)

Heh, Halloween was pretty cool =) Was at Jack's bar to celebrate it and kinda impressed with some of the costumes =0 Most were pretty funny ones though, especially the people dressed as power rangers...lolz

Hmmmo, had an idea for a ninja-type character (maybe assassin) that has an attack that causes opposing characters to lose equipment (kinda like he can disarm the opponent) or if it doesn't cause the game to be imbalanced, his special ability could be something like a thief that he gains control of target equipment of opponent's character....that way people might not want to stack too sweet a piece of equipment if it could get lost or stolen....
Another idea revolves around a prophet type of character that allows you to see your opponents hand and cause a discard...maybe he would be a high level character but with medicore stats and causing discards would be his forte...lolz.....discard....one of the most fiercest thing you can do to an opponent =)

Glad you had a good time Halloween! Yeah it's pretty nuts. I have three kids and they are still in sugar induced craze. The house is filled with candy wrappers that they keep sneaking.

Heya, just had an idea recently....maybe you could include a small bike gang for the Thugs, (similar concept to the Dragon) whereby they could have cool names that are all linked, like

Fog
Storm
Typhoon
Tempest
Mist
Frost

which would tie them up being a sub-group within a group....

Heh, its great that you got RVD to be your celebrity player =)
